Boise Pride needed flexible festival art and a logo system for the 2024 Boise Pride Festival that communicates the them "Proud of Who we are", and can be deconstructed for use online and in print at pride events.
Working with the team at Boise Pride, we brainstormed visual directions and design elements that would help express what makes makes us who we are and why we're proud of it.
The solution was to reclaim iconic sites throughout Boise, the place that made us who we are, by creating an illustrated representation of these landmarks draped in LGBTQ+ symbolism and iconography.
Each letter depicts a landmark that was likely in the background of many experiences and memories of LGBTQ+ individuals in Boise. Focusing on these local icons reminds the community that this place is ours too and that we belong here.

The festival palette is inspired by the uniqueness of each sunrise and sunset in Boise and relates to the individuality of each person in the LGBTQ+ community.
